1. Aside from 'More Human Than Human', I chose to watch 'A World Inscribed: The Illuminated Manuscript'. Hoping to be a teacher one day, I thought it would be interesting to watch a video about writing and its manuscripts for teaching.
2. 'More Than Human' had interesting facts about the Venus sculptures. The female sculpted had embellishing features and much emphasis. The emphasis on the body was to represent her fertility. I thought it was cool that a 25000 year old stature was found in 1908. The statue was still very much in good condition and it was believed that God had taken it over
'A World Inscribed: The Illuminated Manuscript' was about how older ministers would write manuscripts and then use them for teaching. They believed that evil was following them, therefor they did not want any mistakes in their writing, They had to be perfect.
3.'More Than Human' relates to the text on it describing what actually makes a piece of artwork. One of the chapters in the text focuses in great detail Egyptian and Greek artwork, and the video had done a great job expanding on it.
'A World Inscribed: The Illuminated Manuscript' relates to the text with its descriptions about monasteries and ideas of copying books.
4.'More Human Than Human' was quite enjoyable to watch. It amazes me of how much the human figure has and still does, impact artwork so greatly. 'A World Inscribed: The Illuminated Manuscript' was okay. Learning about Monks and their beliefs is always interesting itself, but not always realistic (in my opinion).
