1. In 'Prairie Style' from Frank Lloyd Wright, I was able to learn about his different styles of architecture. His Prairie Style changed modern architecture and had a great impact on American art. He had beliefs in rooting a house to landscape. His reasoning behind this was because he did not want a house to destroy the land.
In 'Architecture: The Science of Design' I learned that skyscrapers really do actually move during wind storms! They can move up to an entire meter. I also was fascinated at the fact that there are two types of concrete. These two types are reinforced and pre-stressed.
2. Both of these videos discuss architecture. They provide very similar information as the text does, however we get a more visual aspect of it.
3. Personally, I enjoyed Frank Lloyd Wright's film because of the impact he had made on American architecture. He changed the structure of house forever! He had great passion behind what he does and the video did a wonderful job giving detailed information. The video has given me a better understanding of architecture.
4. I have always been a fan of science, therefore the video with the word 'science in the title immediately caught my eye. I have heard about Frank Lloyd Wright in high school when I was learning about art, so I though his video would be perfect for me to watch.
