1.I chose to watch 'Andy Warhol: Images of an Image' because I am familiar with the artist and some of his work. I chose to watch 'Abstract Expressionism and Pop: Art of the '50s and '60s' because I absolutely adore the 50s and 60s style and fashion. The video would possibly make me adore the art work as well.
2. In the video of Andy Warhol, I learned interesting facts about Andy himself. He had lived in an apartment with tinfoil walls and the apartment existed as his own personal studio. He is most famous for his Marilyn Monroe and Liz Taylor paintings. In the 50s and 60s video, I learned that abstract art was created through many different attitudes in America and color did not always play an important role.
3. These videos give background knowledge of what is learned in the text. We have been starting to learn more about art closer to present day, The videos do a wonderful job summarizing this.
