1.My expectations for this course were met and exceeded. I went in hoping to create my own pieces. Not only was I able to do that, I was able to learn about different principles and elements to help make my work better as well as better understand famous pieces.
2.I still believe that art is anything that someone creates. Whether it be a song, poetry or a painting, if it expresses an idea or thought it is art. I realize that art bas a very broad range after taking this course.
3.I didn't have much knowledge about artists so I never really had a favorite. I think k like Andrew Warhol because his art is fun.
4. I prefer to take online courses because they are much more convenient. With this course in particular, I was given set dates for each assignment and I managed my time to complete each task in a timely manner.

1. I chose these pieces because first, they were all portraits of women. Being a female looking for inspirational pieces, I think it is natural to be drawn to the female portraits. I chose three different types of portraits to sort of help me decide. The first one is a side view portrait. I thought it might be cool to possibly sketch a side portrait. I chose the second picture because of how it was sketched. I am not quite comfortable using paint yet, so I ended up using a pencil sort of like the one used in this portrait. The last picture is of a full person. I thought it was unique and different than portraits I am used to seeing.

2. I chose to use pencil on paper for my portrait. I am most familiar with this media.
3. I had a really hard time drawing my mouth/smile. To be honest I don't think I overcame this challenge. I just did my best to make it look alright.
4.I think my smile being so big represents me. I am a very positive and happy person.
5. I used lines and shape in my art. I only used one color.
6. I really enjoyed this project. It allowed me to attempt to be creative!
7. Overall, I am pleased with my artwork. I am not an artist and was never good at drawing so I thought my final piece was good compared to my experience.

1. "The Lowdown on Lowbrow: West Coast Pop Art" was about artworks that weren't really that famous. They were low key works. The film discussed many different lowbrow art. "Displaying Modern Art: The Tate Approach" discussed different concepts. I learned modernists had different concepts that changed the way art was presented in museums, mainly about the Tate Approach. The Tate Modern Museum is one of the most popular museums in the world. "An Acquiring Mind" was about a famous director name Philippe de Montebello. He was the director of the Metropolitan Museum of At.
2. These videos helped with my Art exhibition project. There are many ways that art can be arranged and this helped me decide how I would arrange my art.
3. The films were very interesting. They gave a lot of information. They were a wonderful guide for creating my project.
